Our Vision For Memory Care

Nothing else like The Villa exists in other Connecticut senior living communities. Associates provide a significant level of daily support for residents but that care never becomes the center of the residents' day or the defining element their relationship with others in the household. Residents determine the rhythm of their days.

As in a traditional household, in The Villa each resident's day is filled with a comfortable and familiar routine, each likely different than a neighbor's, from a favorite breakfast to a long practiced bed-time ritual. Against this daily fabric, each resident chooses his or her own special events: an outing to a museum, participation in an on-site cooking class or a weekly Saturday afternoon Wii golf shootout in the family room. There is no set menu of activities that residents have to choose from; with the assistance of associates, they decide how each day will unfold and enjoy it to the fullest.

Associates are an integral part of the household's daily rhythms. They are not mere service providers but daily companions, involved in most aspects of residents' lives. The continuity and breadth of daily interactions leads to deeper bonds between resident and associate, creating a true family environment.

The glue for our new care model for memory care is the people. Residents and associates form deep bonds. Associates are not service providers but companions and guides, exploring with residents the best ways to thrive.
